Privacy Policy

Information we receive

• Account information: your email address, display name, account identifier, authentication records, and information needed to manage sign-in. Email/password authentication is handled by Supabase; your password is not shown to other members.
• Profile and marketplace content: the city or remote location, bio, skills, job details, budgets, saved jobs, applications, application status, and messages you submit. Practice applications to example listings are also saved to your account.
• Support information: messages and details you send when contacting us.
• Membership billing: if you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment details. SideFlex stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, payment status, and paid-through dates to manage your membership. Full card details are not stored in SideFlex’s database.
• Technical information: our hosting and authentication providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, and error or security logs to deliver and protect the service.

Google sign-in

If you choose Continue with Google, Google and Supabase provide the account information needed to authenticate you, including your Google account identifier, email address, name, and basic profile information such as a profile image when supplied. We use this information to create or recognize your SideFlex account, display your name, and maintain your sign-in session.

SideFlex requests basic identity, email, and profile access. This sign-in flow does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, calendar, or contacts. Google account data is not used for advertising or AI model training, and is not sold.

SideFlex’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable.

How information is used and shared

We use information to operate accounts, show listings, deliver applications and messages, respond to support requests, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.

• Public listings: job details, location, budget, and the poster’s display name can be viewed by visitors without an account and may be copied or indexed by others. Keep sensitive information out of public posts.
• Applications: the job poster can see your introduction and profile details, including your name, city, bio, and skills.
• Messages: conversations are available to the applicant and job poster. Authorized service administrators may access stored information when necessary for support, security, or legal requests. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.
• Service providers: Supabase provides authentication and database services; Hostinger provides website hosting and email delivery. Stripe processes membership payments through Nerdi and receives your account email and identifiers needed for billing. Google processes Google sign-in, and Google Fonts receives browser requests when fonts load. Providers process the information needed to deliver these services under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.
• Legal and safety needs: information may be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse or protect people and the service.

Your account email is not included in the profile, listing, application, or message data shown to other marketplace members. Information you type into a listing, application, or message is visible to its audience. SideFlex does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Browser storage and external services

SideFlex uses local browser storage to maintain your signed-in session and session storage to resume actions such as posting a job or resetting a password. Clearing storage or signing out can remove this state. The current app does not include advertising pixels or third-party marketing analytics.

Google and other external sites may use their own cookies and storage when you visit them. Links to portfolios, social platforms, or other websites are governed by those services’ policies.

Retention and security

Account and marketplace information is stored in Supabase and retained while needed to provide your account and the service. Closing a job or withdrawing an application changes its status; it does not delete the underlying record or conversation.

You may request deletion using the contact below. Some records may need to be retained for security, legal obligations, or resolving disputes; backup copies may remain until their normal expiry. We cannot remove copies that another member or an external website has already retained.

SideFlex uses HTTPS and account-based access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live.

Your choices and requests

You can edit your profile, remove saved jobs, close your listings, and withdraw pending applications in the app. To request access, a copy, correction, or deletion of account data, email info@sideflex.app from your account email with the subject “SideFlex privacy request.” We may ask you to verify account ownership. Do not send your password.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to object to or restrict processing or complain to a privacy regulator. We will handle requests according to applicable law. You can also revoke SideFlex’s Google access in your Google Account settings; revoking access does not itself delete information already stored in SideFlex.

Children and young users

SideFlex is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact info@sideflex.app so we can investigate and address it. Young users must meet the eligibility and work requirements described in our Terms of Service.
